The AOASM will present cutting-edge and socially trending up-to -date sports medicine topics relevant to physicians in all specialties. The program will provide diverse, in-depth discussions highlighted by team physicians from San Diego State and Northern Arizona Universities, United States Olympic Committee, Team USA National Governing Bodies, National Organization of Youth Sports, NFL football, Pro Rugby and various sports medicine specialists. Topics are organized into 4 hour lecture series and represent a collegial approach to topics with collaboration from ACOFP, AAO, Neurology, Psychiatry, Psychology, and Sports Dieticians. Topics include Concussion Update, Physician and Patient/Athlete Relationship, Youth Sports, Female Athlete Health and Brain Boosters.
These lecture series are designed to create a positive experience in education, training and leadership. The AOASM has recruited its top physician leaders involved with the Olympics, Team USA, Pro Leagues, Osteopathic Medical Education and Training and Collegiate sports. AOASM will bring awareness on popular subjects and will refresh education to our physicians allowing for collegial discussion and understanding. AOASM hopes the lecture series will bring the Osteopathic Colleges together and provide a framework for a team work approach to medicine.
